Recipe of Caramel Cake

Bolu Karamel or caramel cake also known as karang semut.

Ingredients :
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 1 1 /2 cups wheat floor
  • 1/2 cups cornstrach floor
  • 8 eggs
  • 150 grams margarine
  • 1/5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 / 2 cans sweetened condensed milk

How to make :
  • caramel made from granulated sugar (heat the sugar in a skillet over medium heat until melted and let it brown, not stirred), then added hot water until mixed (should be stirred), chill
  • Beat margarine and condensed milk to white, as she put the eggs one by one.
  • Stir in the flour that has been sifted with baking soda and cornstarch gradually while stirring gently until blended.
  • Enter the caramel into the batter, stirring until blended.
  • Pour the batter into the buttered baking dish that has been given a dauber.
  • Grill over medium heat for approximately 40 minutes or until cooked.

note :
- to know the cake is cooked or not, stabbed by a stick. if the stick dry and clean surface, it means the cake is cooked
- use cup 200 ml

Recipe of Nasi Pundut

Nasi Pundut is rice cooked with coconut milk, savory taste, the more delicious when added the sauce. These foods are one of the foods in South Borneo.

Ingredients of nasi pundut :
  • 300 grams of rice, soak 1 hour, drain
  • salt to taste
  • 600 ml thick coconut milk and 600 ml diluted coconut milk from 2 coconut
  • banana leaves for wrapping

Ingredients of Sauce :
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 5 cayenne pepper
  • 5 red chilies
  • 50 grams of peanuts, fried and mashed

How to make nasi pundut :
  • mixed rice and salt, mix well
  • prepare two pieces of banana leaves, the bottom is greater than the upper
  • Enter the 2 tablespoons rice, 3 tablespoons of thick coconut milk, coconut cream and 2 tablespoons of diluted milk coconut, fold both sides of the middle with stick-pin
  • Steam for 2 hours until cooked. Remove and let cool
  • Serve with sauce

How to make sauce :

Heat oil, saute ground spices until fragrant, stirring until blended. Pour water and add salt, allow a few moments, remove and serve
