Recipe of Gado-gado

Gado-gado or hodgepodge is one of food from Indonesian in the form of boiled vegetables and blended into one, with seasoning or sauced of crushed peanuts with egg slices on top and sprinkled with fried onions and a little fried chips crackers are also some that use shrimp crackers

Hodgepodge can be eaten like salad with herbs / peanut sauce, but can also be eaten with rice.

Ingredients :
  • Kale
  • Potato
  • Beans
  • Cabbage
  • Bean sprouts
  • Carrots
  • Eggs
  • Cucumber (do not boil)
  • Melinjo chips
  • Crackers

Seasoning :
  • 3 lime leaves
  • 2 stalk lemongrass
  • 200 ml water
  • 400 ml coconut milk

Mashed seasoning :
  • 250 grams peanuts (fried)
  • 4 spring onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 150 grams java sugar (palm sugar)
  • 3 tbs sweet soy sauce
  • salt
  • sugar

How to make :
  1. All of vegetables and egg cooked
  2. Seasoning mashed and sauteed with a litlle oil untill fragrant, add kaffir lime leaves and lemongrass and coconut milk and finally entered the water.
  3. The cooked vegetables arranged on a plate and add the egg pieces, crackers and chips, then doused in condiments.
